Blindstitch head RS 510
Stitching on a solid tool
The blindstitch seam is formed with only one single needle thread, which is brought into the material by one curved needle from the top side of the material. The blindstitch head connects virtually all composites (carbon fibres, glass fibres, aramid), from profile or stringer to complex 3D-parts.
Advantages for the user:
Bottom thread not required
Access to the work piece from one side only
Variably adjustable penetration depth
Stitching with firm pad possible
Tool changer:
The tool changer allows fast and easy interchanging of different end effectors as well as electrical and pneumatical interfaces for specific signals at one robot stitching system.
One tool changer is required at the robot and one at each end effector.
Application
Designed for production of sub-preforms and preforms. Typical fields of application are aerospace, automotive, wind energy, bridge building or industrial lightweight construction.
Features
Thread cutting
Thread tension measurement / control monitoring + adjustment
(available as option)
